MixBite Privacy Policy

MixBite is a cooking-video editor for Android. This policy explains what information MixBite collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how you can delete it. MixBite is provided by MixBite, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us"). Contact: support@mixbite.net.
Summary
- Your videos are edited and exported on your phone. They are sent to our server only when you use an AI feature, and the uploaded copy is deleted when processing finishes.
- We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
- You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Profile → Delete my account and data) or at /delete-account.
What we collect and why

Service providers we share data with
We use these companies to provide MixBite's features. They process the data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy terms; their API terms do not allow them to use it to train their models.
- Anthropic (Claude) — reads video frames, transcripts and recipe text to produce recipe steps, ingredients, cooking-sound placement, best-shot picks and translations. Privacy policy
- OpenAI (Whisper) — transcribes speech in uploaded audio. Privacy policy
- ElevenLabs — generates sound effects and studio voices, and the temporary copy of a voice (made from your voice sample) when you choose "My own voice" or correct a line spoken in it. Privacy policy
- Google — Google sign-in, Google Play (payments), Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Analytics. Privacy policy
- Resend — sends sign-in codes by email. Privacy policy
- Twilio — sends sign-in codes by SMS. Privacy policy
- Cloudflare (R2 storage) — stores files while they are processed, and voice samples for the 2 days above. Privacy policy
- DigitalOcean — runs our server. Privacy policy
We may disclose information if required by law. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Security
All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Your account data can only be read with a sign-in that our server has verified with Google. Access to our servers and keys is restricted.
Your choices and rights
- Use MixBite without AI features: editing, music, text and export work entirely on your phone.
- Delete your data: Profile → Delete my account and data removes your saved projects, settings, usage and subscription record from our server and signs you out. You can also request deletion at /delete-account. Cancel a subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions (deleting your account doesn't cancel it).
- Access or correct your data, or object to its use: email us at the address above. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under the GDPR, India under the DPDP Act, California under the CCPA), you may have further rights, including complaining to your data-protection authority.
- Analytics: you can reset your advertising/app-instance id in Android settings.
Children
MixBite is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and show the new date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
